Tech Mahindra, India’s 6th largest software exporter, today announced a partnership with Telecom New Zealand (known as Telecom) to work together to deliver the Next Generation Telecom (NGT) retail transformation program. This Next Generation Telecom program will redefine Telecom New Zealand’s retail business, reshaping how its customers can choose to interact with it and the products it offers.

The deal is worth between $20m – $30m, and will see Tech Mahindra taking responsibility for program management and end to end systems integration on the NGT program. The NGT program is expected to run for a number of years, with customers starting to see new products and services within two years.

According to Paul Reynolds, CEO, Telecom New Zealand “This deal is a significant step forward in the transformation of Telecom. We are delighted to have secured the services of Tech Mahindra, a global leader in business transformation who is renowned throughout the communications industry.”
