TCI SCS, the supply chain and logistics consultancy division of Transport Corporation of India (TCI), India’s leading integrated logistics solutions provider, was awarded the “Best 3PL” (Third Party logistics service provider) for the year at the Express Logistics and Supply chain (ELSC) conclave 2008, organized on 19th and 20th September 2008 at Taj Lands End, in Mumbai.

The annual two-day conclave saw participation from eminent personalities from reputed organizations like Torrent pharmaceuticals Ltd, Matrix Laboratories, Mundra Port and SEZ Ltd etc, and provided an open forum to discuss various issues facing the industry like the challenges and opportunities in providing a complete multimodal logistics solution throughout the country, challenges created by India’s Retail boom, market consolidations, mergers, acquisitions in the logistics sector, the emerging role of the Indian Air cargo industry, global trends in the ports and shipping sectors, 3PL & 4PL, the Asian perspective etc.

During the conclave, awards were also given out to the deserving companies for the role played by them in the growth and development of the country’s logistics space.

The 3PL award holds immense value for TCI, as it is in recognition for the significant contribution made by the company towards providing end-to-end supply chain solutions to a diverse set of customers.
