Maytas Infra wins washery reject coal-based EPC contract
Maytas Infra Limited, a Hyderabad based construction and infrastructure development company today announced that they have been awarded India’s first washery reject coal-based power plant contract of 120-megawatt (MW) capacity on a total Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. It is also the first to run exclusively on Washery Reject Coal Fuel. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 650 crores.
This power plant contract has been entrusted to Maytas Infra Limited by Gupta Energy Private Limited, a Nagpur based infrastructure and power company, and will be set up in Chandrapur district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.
It is envisaged to complete the plant in two stages with the first 60 MW to be completed in 20 months and the second 60 MW to be completed in 22 months.
