Wipro signs MoU with Model Engineering College
Wipro has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara, to take its ongoing collaboration with the Institution to the next level. This MoU is the first of its kind that Wipro is signing in Kerala.
Wipro has chosen to partner with Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara as they are among the premier engineering institutes in the country. The MoU envisages a set of planned activities and interactions addressing various stakeholders namely students, faculty and the management. These activities and interactions include faculty development programs, technical sponsorships and student workshops and many more. For instance, one of the programs is a student workshop that is structured with the primary goal of emphasizing on the importance of creative thinking that is paramount to succeeding in corporate world today.
Commenting on the occasion Ms. Priti Rajora, General Manager – Talent Acquisition said, “the objective of this MoU is to build industry-academia relationship and empower students to gear up for the challenges of the corporate world.”
Prof. Subramani, a renowned academician and IHRD Director was witness to this event. He stressed that the brand name of MEC is due to the quality of students and that this academy industry interaction will further help in creation of knowledge based society. This relationship is bound to be mutually beneficial and everlasting one. MoU was signed by Principal Dr. P. Suresh Kumar.
