    I have visited Chartink.com.There are some price mentioned in the chart. r they strong support and resistance level. Kindly suggest how to read those charts.

    At what price do u see IFCI October Futures opening on Monday and what rate can one exit? It closed at 73.85 on Friday

    Hi, I held 180 share of Arihant Cap bought at 284 (before splitting & bonus issue). Day by day it coming down.. what do you suggest .. to hold and dispose. Pl revert. Many thanks..

    Hi Vikram,

    Below is details for Introduction to Call Auction in pre-open session starting from 18th October, 2010.


    With the changing market conditions, exchanges have also upgraded the functioning. From 18th October “PRE MARKET CALL OPTIONS” trading window will start to enable better price discovery from 18th October.
    At the market start the market are choppy and volatile. Trades are rushed in to the system which at times ends into an erroneous price or quantity. At times desperately done to manipulate market and stock specific sentiments. Both NSE and BSE have introduced this mechanism to curb these irregularities and enhance healthy market movements
    The session starts from 9:00am to 9:15am. Order will be placed in the system for the call auction session.In the initial 8 minutes i.e. from 9:00am to 9:08am, investors can place and modify orders but execution of orders will not take place. From 9:08am to 9:12am the market will halt and no order will then be accepted or modified by the exchange. In this period system will discover a price and index. After 9:15am the normal market trading will start.


    Salient Features of the session:

    1.This is a special 15-minute trading window starting at 9:00 am.
    2.Order entry will ONLY be for NIFTY fifty and SENSEX thirty stocks
    3. Investors can change or cancel their orders during these 7 minutes
    4. During this time opening price at which the maximum amount of shares can be traded
    5. Limit orders will get priority over market orders at the time of execution of trades
    6. All orders shall be not be disclosed and will be revealed in full quantity, i.e. orders where revealed quantity function is enabled, will not be allowed during the pre-open session.
    7.Unexecuted, eligible orders will be moved to the continuous session
    8.In the event of no trades in the pre-open session, the orders entered in the pre-open session will be moved the continuous trading session on time priority basis.

    9. The continuous trading session will commence only after the pre open session ends.

    In summary….


    Order Entry 09:00 – 09:08

    1. Order Addition/Modification/Cancellation
    2. No trades executed
    3. Random end between 09.07 and 09.08
    4. Dissemination of indicative price, quantity and index

    Order Matching & Confirmation 09.08- 09.12

    1. No Order Addition/Modification/Cancellation
    2. Opening price is determined for each stock
    3. Trades take place at the single discovered price

    Buffer 09.12 – 09.15

    Ensures continuous session starts at the
    predetermined time
    Continuous Session starts post the end of the pre open session at 09.15
