Got an information abt zee entertainment, ex date for bonus issue is 7th october. Pls give some clarity on the importance of bonus issue and the ex date. after bonus issue, how that particular stock will perform.
Kartik, replies: Hi saravan, the ex-dividend date is date when the company closes it books to give the dividend to its shareholders', to be eligible for the dividend you need to hold it till the ex-dividend date, Bonus issues date specifies when the board recommend the dividend
