Hi Mathews, You can either short future or go long with futures ( means can buy a future or sell future ) .@ CMP of stock .

Narasimha....I didn't understand... Can u make it clear about ths term short and long... also can you say a live example on this...say if I want to buy suzlon... 100 future... hw much minimum amount I need to invest...and what is the current rate..please thx..

Hi Mathews, Suzlon lot size is 3000 and its spot price is 92.30 .Suppose that you operator prove you suzlon future of 90.90 . If you are sure that Suzlon stock will increase in coming days then you can buy suzlon future at spot then you need to invest
3000 * 90.90 = 272,700
and if you think the stock price will fall you will sell the future the otherway round .

Hi Mathews, First of all understand that these are hedging funds ..lot of risk is involved .. if you get into it with out any knowledge you will get stuck at every level .
Options are better form of hedging instrument compare to futures coz they are bit cheaper and the maximum loss would be 0 rather in futures loss would be unlimited and only big players can play in futures. If you have very high risk apatite you can go for futures

Please give me some clue that from where I will get the breakout status of the particular stock/scrips at current time.On your valuble site I get the resistance/ support level of the stocks, but I have a little confusion over the brekouts.
Please assist me in clearing this problem.
