Hi there Narasimha! THANKS FOR YOUR SUGGESTION. CAN U PLS EXPLAIN WITH AN E.G, HOW WOULD TIME DECAY PLAY A ROLE?

CB, replies: Hi HRISHIKESH, you equity in large quantity and hedging them with a option is a better play.. playing completely in options is risky.. if we near expiry and chances of a particular stock reaching its target becomes less, the option will start to decay and come down drastically.

Hi HRISHIKESH, Let us suppose you have taken a nifty 4600 call option @ 100 assuming that nifty 4600 and touch 4700 on day 1 with .. and unfortunately the day was flat and nifty was lingering around 4600 for day 2 you 4600 call option with be less ( it depends on volatility + volumes + number of day left before expiry ) its a complex formula .. with days go buy you call value will decrease until the expiry date where in it become close to zero .

Hi there suryansh, Thanks for your valuable suggestion. It was very nice of u. It has helped me, but have some more doubts...I have come to a conclusion that futures seems to be better than options! If u dont mind could u just elaborate on taking some usual thumb rules to be taken into consideration while dealing in futures?
