Very soon the list of the companies which have applied for the BANK license will be announced by the GOI and we from our soruces believe that IDFC and IFCI have not applied for the same. Even though IFCI management has said that it is not aware of the any GOI news of conversion of bonds into equity, the media sources says that GOI had indicated that the it will ask IFCI to issue shares for Rs 523 crs bonds. This is increase the equity of IFCI by Rs 523 crs as the conversion will happen at par as per origional terms.
Is this true? any news like this?
