Dear Arun,
I will attempt to answer your query, however, will let the gurus CB/Kartik confirm/correct.
IIP is the Index of Industrial Production. If my understanding is right, if this is going up, it means there is good consumer demand and is good for the economy. It appears that this month, the % has come down to 11.5% from 16.5%.
CB/Kartik: Please elaborate and help us understand better
