Need some help on a query from my FIL. Here is what his query was:
All the oil marketing companies are claiming to be making tremendous losses because of the fuel subsidy. However, over the last few months, it has been noticed that the share value these oil companies has grown by around 15%. How is that?
Well, I clarified to him that I am no wiz in the market. However, I will ask the same to the wiz at NSEGuide and get an answer for him. I also was intrigued by his query.
Please advise.

Kartik, replies: Hi Kris, yes. thats true. but at the same time crude oil is not trading at higher levels is good for omc's. also govt plans to hike petrol prices this week which is another positive news for theses stocks. losses they are posting are much less that what they posted before. also recently got incentives from the govt
