a friend of mine listened to these so called technical analysts and went short when nifty was at around 4850 because they said it will go down to 4700..poor guy lost lot of money...my advise is dont listen to these crooks...ride the momentum..right now it is bullish..of course we dont know what will happen tomorrow or the day after..so be careful and trade wisely...dont get carried away...DO NOT INITIATE AGGRESSIVE LONGS AT THIS POINT OF TIME!!!

CB, also i heard about a significant development from last evening and that is the revised draft of the Direct Tax code coming into effect. This could have a negative effect from a market point of view because it proposes to implement 30% tax on capital gains on FIIs - yes this is still a discussion paper - but if implemented could have far reaching implications on FII monies coming into India - I am not sure whether this could be the dampener before 5300, but it could!

angel broking : Market opened flat, traded in a narrow range and finally managed to close in the green. On the daily charts we
are witnessing a narrow range body which indicates indecisiveness / consolidation at current levels. While the
undertone remains positive, sideways movement indicating consolidation of the gains is expected. On the upside
indices are likely to test 17500 – 17670 / 5250 -5300 levels once indices trade above 17444 / 5232 levels. On the
downside, 17132 – 17030 / 5132 – 5100 levels may act as support for the day.
