With Reference to the earlier Announcement dated May 20, 2010 regarding Board Meeting of the Company will be held on May 29, 2010 to consider and approve Audited Financial Results of the Company for the financial year ended on March 31, 2010, Suzlon Energy Ltd has now informed BSE that the said Board Meeting to be held on May 29, 2010, the Board of Directors of the Company will also consider the issue of equity shares of the face value of Rs.2 each on a rights basis (Rights Issue) to the existing equity shareholders of the Company.

what does it mean? rights issue? is it like one share for already held equity shares?
Kartik, replies: Hi Malik, a right issue is a companies offer to its existing shareholders buy a proportional number of additional shares at a given price (usually at a lower rate) within a fixed period, you need to apply for right issue shares

The rights issue for Rei Agro has been fixed for Jun 8.Is it worth to make use of this right issue ? I already have 200 shares of the share. I see the company is making good profits but the shares where going down since long except for the last 2 days.
Please advise.
