Hi Kartik,
Can you please clarify one general doubt ?
Everybody knows film production is a high risk business.
Almost 75% of producers do not get their money back fully.
Then, why our people invest in shares like Pyramid sai mira(PSTL),
Shreeashtavinayakar cine vision, etc.
NSE has banned trading of PSTL from tuesday due to non submission of quarterly results.PSTL quarterly losses are huge.
Kartik, replies: Hi Sabu, Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd and Shree Ashtavinaya at one time were strong bets for Long term, they used to produce hit films that gave them huge profits, in the crash of 2008/2009 Shree ashtavinaya was the only stock that traded positive, but now days the films made by these are not attracting a wider audience due to the Large amount of competition from other firms, such as Reliance Media works etc, a person thinking that the future flim made by a particular agency may be a hit that might increase the companies profit, so they plan to invest in it, tough it can always be a risky bet, since on cannot anticipate the overall demand

With Reference to the earlier Announcement dated May 20, 2010 regarding Board Meeting of the Company will be held on May 29, 2010 to consider and approve Audited Financial Results of the Company for the financial year ended on March 31, 2010, Suzlon Energy Ltd has now informed BSE that the said Board Meeting to be held on May 29, 2010, the Board of Directors of the Company will also consider the issue of equity shares of the face value of Rs.2 each on a rights basis (Rights Issue) to the existing equity shareholders of the Company.

what does it mean? rights issue? is it like one share for already held equity shares?
