Hi Arun, both have their advantages and disadvantages, eg: In futures minimum investment required is around 3 Lacs, where as in Options, minimum investment needed is around 8,000 onwards. In current market situations, it is better to trade in futures, since you can rollover them to the next month, if at any time they come down, whereas in Options, you can rollover to the next
Hi matlee81, RNRL has been a good bet for Long term, its likely to see some consolidation at current levels for some time, and them it might continue its upward movement

I am holding mCleod Russel @ 225 , the result is yet to come out . Is it a good stock to hold for 3 months time for a good upside. what will be the upside target as per ur exp.

Thanks for reply. In your opinion what is the greatest risk in options compared to futures?...someone told me that options is less risky because if you lose, you will only lose premium amount, but in futures, you can lose a lot.
Also, is MTM margin calculated for options also or only for futures?
CB, replies: Hi Arun, if you can hold stocks for a long time even if they come down a bit, then futures are safe. in options there is a time factor which causes issues.
