I am planning on purchasing Metastock and attending a training workshop. I dont know anything about technical analysis. Would it be worth to purchase the software and attend the seminar or should i read on technical analysis first? Please mail me regarding Metastock.

If i buy HDFC tomorrow, will i get dividend? What about 1:5 stock split?..will i get it?

CB, replies: Hi Arun, HDFC declared its dividend today, since you were not holding the stock when it was declared, you shall not be eligible for it, enter it after the split for Short term, dont enter it at CMP. If you purchase it at CMP, you shall be only eligible for the split, your 1 share shall be converted to 5 shares of lesser amounts

cb how is looks ioc technically...can i hold or exit on rise....? it has announced 30 april to bse on some project..detail..i attached below...
Indian Oil Corporation Ltd has informed BSE that IndianOil has commissioned a world scale Naphtha Cracker Plant alongwith downstream polymer units at Panipat (Haryana). The said Petrochemical Complex at Panipat consists of the following units:
1. Naphtha Cracker- to produce 857 KTA of Polymer grade Ethylene and 660 KTA Polymer grade Propylene
2. Polypropylene unit - for production of 600 KTA Polypropylene
3. Swing Unit of 350 KTA capacity for production of Linear Low Density (LLDPE) and High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE)
4. High Density Poly Ethylene Unit for production of 300 KTA (HDPE)
5. MEG Unit for production of 300 KTA Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG).
