CB/kartik...
i had placed order for vishal info on 1st april..it got executed @ 10.95...but accordig to hdfc sec there was a buyer shortage....now they hv sent me this mail...pls tell me does it mean i hv got profit from auction???
mail reads:
Reference: "Our letter dated 6-Apr-10 intimating you about Buyer Shortage
for trades done on 1-Apr-10".
Dear Sir,
This has reference to our letter dated 6-Apr-10, intimating you about Buyer
Shortage of 500 share/s of "VISHAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES LTD " bought by
you on 1-Apr-10.
As informed to you in our earlier letter that there was a Buyer Shortage &
Settlement of the said trade would be deferred till Auction Settlement Date.
On Auction day, since there was Buyer shortage, you will be credited Rs.
6,132.50 (Rs.12.265 X 500 share/s) to your Savings Account as Auction credit
for NSE Settlement No. 2010060.
Kartik, replies: Hi shiva, I guess instead of buying of the stocks, you mistakenly sold them, short sold stocks are sent for acutoin on the 3rd day, and depending on the price of the stock on the 3rd day, your Profit or Loss is calculated. In your case it seems that the price of the stock has gone up, so it seems that you might in a loss of 2rs per/shares. Also try confirming it with your broker

Hi KD, it would be better to hold it for Short term, it can see 500+ levels

but i had not short sold the share...i had bought it...it showed me like that in my portfolio...btw where is CB for last 2 days??

I'am holding yes bank @ 250 and Essar oil @ 145... please let me know the price to book profits? Essar Oil would declare Q4 results on 13th April, is it expected to move up? Also, RBI may tighten rates any time now.. will it be fruitful to be in the banking sector as of now?
