Hi CB, how selling a call is not good and buying a put is much better?
please explain .................
i have sold 5100 call yesterday?
where should i cover it today?
CB, replies: Hi som, its the same as buying put. but one requires more margin money to sell a call since loss by doing this is unlimited.

Thanks for the reply CB, But if thats the case whats the time span within which we should buy it back.As options price declines with time, then why dont people sell it at the begining of the month and sell it at the end of expiry when the value declines.
Can u explain in clear about that.
CB, replies: Hi equity kings, as we near expiry if chances of a partial level on nifty is unlikely in that expiry then it starts to decay since there is not much activity in it.

Hi CB, it would b the same for example u sell acall at 50 and buy a call at 50 .
wats the difference for margin and loss?
