SOM, selling CALL or PUT is highly risky. for example if the NIFTY GO UP say 5300, then you have to pay the difference of what you got when you sold the Call & 5300 in the same way, if you sell PUT if NIFTY GO DOWN by 200 points from 5100 to 4900, then you will have to pay the difference from the amount you got when sold the PUT and the 4900.
When you sell a Call it means you believe NIFTY will not go above that level and when you sell a put you believe that NIFTY will not go down below that level. IF NIFTY moves in opposite direction with wide gap up or down then, the seller will incurr unlimited loss.
NEVER SELL OPTIONS, it is ONLY FOR HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL TRADERS, who operate with a dozen softwares.
The best way is to BUY PUT OR CALL OPTIONS. less risky here your maximum loss is the premium paid ie. the amount you paid to buy these options.
