hello cb sir.
i want to ask you that in arbetrage if i buy tata stl at price of 541 in bse and sell it at 542 in nse. qty 500
so my pro is 500 rs .and suppose after 3.15 pm tatasteel's price is 538 in bse and 538.20 in nse.so my bse's squreup's loss is 1500 rs.and nse's squre up pro is 1900.my pro is 400 rs.
so what is my real profit 500 rs
or 400 rs after squre up

Hi Chirag,
I want to do hedging for my intraday/short-term stk futures trades with same stock options since as u said investment required in options is very low but potential returns could be high. Pls could u clarify me how to do this?
For instance, say i want to go 3lots long on sterlite stk futures at 870 and if at the same time take say 1 or 2 lot put options in sterlite. Will that be sufficient hedging or will i end up loosing quite a bit? Pls clarify as to how i should trade with proper hedging with an appropriate example.
In such case, how much capital would get blocked?
Appreciate ur help in this regard.

CB, replies: Hi sabir, yes, we can hedge it with 2-3 lots.. it will help reduce your losses in a way. capital required would be around 50k

Dear CB - as I look that the daily graphs for Sensex and Dow for the past couple of days, it appeares as if Dow is exactly mirroring the patter we in the Indian markets. Do you observe a similar patter too? I am still holding 4900 PA for Novermebr @ 80 rs. should I average it? I have 3000 Rs and I need to cover my loss by the end of this week. Please help how would I be able to cover my loss? Many thanks
