90 % of the traders have been waiting impatiently for the last 2 months for 8000 to break so that they can short Nifty . Everybody said one Nifty breaks 8000 it will have a free fall to 7750 and then maybe 7500 .
8000 comes but never breaks . Breaks for a day but Nifty bounces back the next day . Obviously DII who were buyers all along last 2 months between Nifty 8000 and 8500 will not allow 8000 to break .
But does it mean all the chartists and all the traders have got it completely wrong and wish of bears for 7750 and 7500 will never be fulfilled ?
Kartik, replies: Hi V V Sundaram, yes, 8000 seems to be held for now. many traders wait for a few days before going heavily short at support levels to avoid losses. technically seems can test 7800 in near term. can look to go short on a small bounce with sl near 8170
