im new to all of this, I have heard there are 2 types of trading, one is intraday trading and other one i dont know what its called. I have heard that in intraday trading u have buy n sell the stock in the same day, if its not sold on that day, it gets automatically sold at the close price by 6 pm. and while placing an order you have specify the type of trading. Is it true? and what is the other type of trading and how does that work?
CB, replies: Hi Jess, yes. its intraday and short term. you will need to check with the broker on how to select the same on their trading platform.. intraday you need to square off the same below 3.15pm

how much is the entry range for syncom health.is it a good stock to buy sip and keep for long tem(10yrs) and NOCIL
CB, replies: Hi kavitha, no, dont enter for sip. in this case its best to go with a small cap mutual fund. will give much better returns and is also save

How does short term trading work? if i buy a stock today can i sell it today itself in short term? if not whats the minimum time i can sell it?
CB, replies: Hi Jess, most welcome. God bless you too. yes. short term means, you can sell it anytime but today, you may sell tomorrow or after 2-3 months.

say suppose i buy a stock today at 3 pm, can i sell it tomorrow by 9.30 am in short term trading? or is there a timeframe of 24 hours?

I have bought 7250 shares of Astra Microwave Products Ltd at the rate of rs138 per share. Today,result has been announced. Please suggest , should I hold or sell ?
