Kartik, replies: Hi som, Premium and discount is the rate at which nifty is tradiing in futures..if spot rate is 4980 and nifty futures is trading at 4990 then we would say nifty is trading at a 10 point premium

I bought 200 Punjlloyd @ 260. Some analyst are saying it will come down to 225 then 175. Please give me an advise exit or hold. Already I have 1500 @ 88.

Hi Kartik, u missed my query for explanation of premium and discount of nifty futures
what does this indicate
what is the difference between oct and nov futures
i mean to say what does they imply by saying that it is oct future and other is nov future.......................difference technically between them.

hi som, so you are on the learning curve(like me :-) . futures and options are more risky bets. All the information is available in many sites (google search will help) one good site is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futures_contract.

i bought bharti airtel at 445,nw the whole telecom sector has suffered badly...but i dont want 2 sell it at dis much loss...so m still holding bharti...is dere any indication of a bounce back in telecom sector in near future??n what about bharti airtel??

What hapens when a stock breaks 14dma, 25dma, 50dma, conversion (9days), base (26days).
stock goes up after breaking these dma or go down in normal market situation.

As a side to arun p's query - Two sectors are in doldrums now - Airlines and telecom. pick up the leaders(not saying this is the right time to pick up, timing is always tricky) and stick with them for long term to make decent return(@ your own risk and patience). After all a billion people has to travel and communicate. hope all would agree.
