Thanks sir..lot means for say m trading with 200 shares, 1st lot=100 and 2nd lot=100, that means risk gets reduced?

Hi
I am invested in mutual funds for past 3-4 years. Initially returns were good but for past 3-4 years most of mutual funds are in loss even funds like HDFC Top 200/ HDFC Prudence etc. Is investing in MF is ok or I shd go FDs.
