Kartik, replies: Hi PKS, banking stocks may take a while to recover, if possible hold it for Short term and avg it out once its prices settle
Q1 : Can you kindly explain what is meant by " Hold it for the short term : means how many weeks or months ?
Q2 :and you say " avg it once prices settle " : so how do you know " the prices have settled ? is there any criterion or data to watch for to know that " prices have settled ?
Kartik, replies: Hi S.BHUVANA, Sure, Short term can range from 6-8 months time, If you see the trend of SBI, you can see that its been in a downfall since the last 2-3 months time, a stocks price is considered to be settled once it takes a pause in a range for a couple of weeks, eg: In case of SBI, you can see this around its support of 1800 in May and Sep'13

Many a stocks are available at low level now. Pl suggest some for 1 yr or above investment.
May I go with icici bank , coal India , sbi or wait for further lower level ? Lost too much in option for last 1 year.

Is Idea a BUY at current levels ?
It has corrected from the highs of 176 to 158 now .
if you feel it is not yet a BUY can you please kindly advise at what level an entry can be made for a bounce back to 168 - 170 ?
