Hi Sagar, its short selling, you first sell the stock at higher levels and then buy it at lower levels, its mostly done in futures, in which you can sell the stock and hold the sell stock for a couple of days and then buy it, in case of Cash markets, you need to buy the stock on the same day

Hi sir,
I really need ur help ,for the first time I made intraday trading for test trial on friday...I bought hexaware @108.74 which is at very peek price...since I'm doing for the first time I didn't concentrated on the price.after it has executed price went down to 100 and closed @ 106.80...by the end of the trading I have converted in to delivery... I even took 5150 margin..but today I could not able to keep sell order for that stock...it say's..plz convert to delivery all pending for delivery positions if any...I got acc in icicidirect and while placing order I kept client square off mode...
Could u plz tell me where did I made a mistake...did I converted intraday stocks to delivery or not...how can I able to know that...I think icicidirect charges heavy for this...
Plz I need ur advise..if possible can I get ur contact number sir...

CB, replies: Hi Siri, since you entered it for Intraday previously and didn't manage to sold it, its converted into delivery, Yes, ICICI Charges are high for trading, it normally takes 2-3 days for the stocks to come in your account, hold Hexaware with a SL at 102 ( cash)
