Good Evening Cb/Kartik Sir,
I am new to the market. To start off i want to invest 10000 to get a hang of the market but at the same time i don't wish to lose money in the process of learning. I have done my research of understanding the basics of investing. I want your opinion on an issue :
Should i invest the whole sum in stocks ranging
1000 - 2500 where companies are strong fundamentally but i get just 5-10 shares
250 - 1000 where their upmove wudn't be as fast as above but i get 20-40 shares
10 - 150 good stocks where i get even approx 1000 shares and every rupee is a thousand profit.

CB, replies: Hi Alisha, since you are a beginnner, would advice to go with large caps. they tend to move well with the markets. can look to add Bharti aritel, LT or SBI on dips

2> there are news at Cals refinary on establishing biggest project at Haldia westbengal. shall I go for long term investment?
3> whats ur view on Punj loyed? is it having potential to become like mini L&T? can we invest now?
