Hi, I have sold HDIL 400 shares last week .( Initially i webt 200 shares for short.instead of covering the short sells i have wrongly sold 200 again). Now 400 shares in shortage... what they will do for that.. idont have clear information ....will they ask penalty..when they will cover the 40 sold items?
CB, replies: Hi Sanjeev, yes, it will go for auction on the 3rd day. usually there is a 10-20% penalty of total amount traded.
