I would like to know some basic thing on Bonus Shares given by any company to their share holders.

Generally when the shares got split/dividend on that time the price of that share will be divided as per the split declared.

What about in the case of Bonus Shares issued by any company?

I mean the share price will be divided or not?

Hi srinivas, split/bonus means stock price will come down by 50% and if you had 100 stocks you will now have 200.. dividened is different and will be given on par shares basis. if you have 100 stocks and dividend is 10rs per share you will get a check of rs.1000

Hi PS, its an operator stock..would advice to exit from it and invest in something like sterlite or punj lloyd for med term..you will get much better returns
