Re iterating my view of an impending bull run, since the nifty for once tested 5720 approx, and this happpens to be a cruicial resistance for nifty, if it manages to trade and close above that level then the next resistance could be 5924. do u think my views are corrrect.
Looking at the recent reforms agenda of the govt. and with the govt being stable with the support of the other allies, do u think that the market does have that kind of a steam coupled with the FII buying to cross 5720 and go upto 5924. in one or 2 months

there is one more interesting data I would like to share with the fellow boarders and you, Last time in 27-02-2012 when the nifty hit the previous high the FIIs had bought 1494 K cr and 967 K cr. where as in the runup to the dates they had purchased 8829.40 K cr (9-02-12 to 21-02-12) where as in the recent rally they have purchased 11595.62 K cr net since the last 13 trading sessions.
I guess that this rally will sustain, kindly put fourth your views in this regard

Sir Good Evening. I have hedge today in Nifty Option as 1 lot 5500 Pe at 48.45 & 1 lot 5900 Ce at 49.20 when NIFTY spot 5670. Please tell me this is a good or bad hedging?

Hi Soumen Bose,
the strategy that you have applied is called a protective collar, practically speaking there is more chance of nifty heading to 5900 than coming back to 5500, so in that case with every passing day you will lose the time value of the option and therefore the total premium would come down. this kind of strategy is handy when you expect a one-sided move on the eiither side of the index, lest this strategy will lose its premium, therefore since you are into the trade and the contracts are of october try getting out with a total profit by adding both the premiums paid, in case the nifty rallies to 5700 + keep a stoploss on the 5500 PE till 5720 and continue to hold the 5900 Ce for profit
