The Chicago Purchasing Managers' Index for September has just been released. It came in at 46.1, which is below the 52.0 that was widely expected and down from the 50.0 that was registered in August.
Prior to the report's release, stocks had surrendered their initial gains and moved into negative territory. The disappointing report has prompted stocks to extend their slide so that all 10 major sectors are trading with losses, the steepest of which are seen in the consumer discretionary sector (-1.0%) and industrial sector (-0.9%).

despite nifty gaining 78 points , why bharti , guj NRE and provogue ended up in red?? shall i exit from them ?? can they recover tomorrow?

Bharti - Mtn deal may be terminated
As seen in cnbc tv 18 bharti may see 20-25% upmove if deal is cancelled in Short term suggested by analysts but lets see wats CB advices on this.

thanks. But just out of curuosity , how can bharti see upmove if deal is cancelled?? if it had got done , still it wud hv gone up...i fear it may break downside tomorrow

1. If the deal fails- (equity dilution) will not take place and positive for short term guys
2. If the deal goes through- though the equity dilution takes place- positive for long term holders.
