Hi mathew, let me clear u. It is other way round. High put call is sign of bullishness. It means there are more put writers or sellers than buyers which is bullish indication.

Hi Vinesh, do you mean to say having too many sellers indicate a bullish sentiment? Too many sellers means more people are expecting the markets to fall.. right? Would be good if you can double check and let me know...

Hi jo, I also hope and pray for a correction. Holding Short positions from 4750. And for the first time US is showing some weakness, trading in the red now... Maybe our traders would take a second look...

hi vinesh, i saw ur comment to mathew thats the reason i myself invited to ur party. as the put call keeps on rising whats the possibility for the nifty to rise more over market is very much keen on correction i believe, adding to perspective our markets are in uptrend only with the support of other markets there is heavy correction in the mean time i believe, thats what cb and karthik also suggested in this very blog

Hi mathew. In options segment, it is the writer or seller who is the originator of option. It is who takes risk of unlimited loss and limited profit of maximum to the extent of premium received. So when the put writer sells option he is expecting market to rise or remain flat but should not fall so he can eat entire premium or cover at lower levels. It is like this and exact logic works for call option. U r correct in your but that applies in cash segment market. There is lot more stuff to share but no time. U better search on net.

Hi jo, but the two of us don't make enough number to pull it down...! Anyway, I think it is taking a good turn now. US fall is quite steep now. Further, if we check the trading trend of last few days, it was the last one hour or even half an hour of trade that propelled the Nifty to higher levels, everyday... That indicates some concerted trading action from some parties to propel it up, solely based on global trends.. Now that global trend seems to be weak, they may not try to further push it up, and might exit from their long positions built up for the last 10 or so days and in the last hours when Nifty was at day's lows... So let us sit and watch...
