Hi eky, Its when promoters give their shares as guarantee to raise money for the company. Usually stock corrects after news of promoters pledging a share as its not positive for a company. hope this helps: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/pledge

Hi cb, good morning, Nifty is able to hold 4690 but break 4720.Dow & Nasdaq Futs are flat to (-)ve, European Futs are also same.But Asian are in deep red.What should be strategy for Minifty go short at this level or wait till european markets to open.Share ur valuable view.

Hi cb, My holdings are:- L&T Finance 100 shares@52,Muthoot Finance 40 shares@175, Future Ventures 2400 [email protected], hold these since IPO.On Muhurat trading buy 50 shares Ashok [email protected] & 50 shares Sintex [email protected]. Sintex is trading near about its half , rest all shares are slashed down from the purchse price.What are the future prospect of these shares for a time horizon of 6-12 months.Hold these or exit from which one? Share ur valuable recommendation.
