    Hello Sir,

I'm interested to do options trading, I have read some basic information regards this. I have one doubt on this, like for example, the lot when we buy is multiplied with the premium amount for the specified strike price. If the price of the stock reaches the strike price, will we be getting the amount multiplied by premium * lot size at that prevailing market price of the stock? Also, how the premium price of the stock is calculated on the ongoing basis?

Could you please give one example of options trading for one stock/index.

    Many Thanks,
    Indu

Kartik, replies: Hi Indu, here’s some basic info: Ca and PA come in Futures and Options. In Options for a set of stocks there are calls and puts know as CA and PA at every levels. eg: Unitech has a CA at 90, 80, 70 as well a PUT 90, 80, 70. A trader thinking that Unitech might touch or move higher to 90, might enter 90 or 80 Call (CA), now if the stock moves up, then the price of the CALL will rise and at the same time the price of the PUT will decrease (since a put is bought when a trader expects a stock to move lower), calls and puts are available at cheap rates, i.e ranging from 3000 to 10000, on the other hand, in Futures you buy a set of stocks, each and every set has a minimum value of 3 Lacs, so a Unitech set might contain more than 3500 shares and the profit or loss is decided as per the Market price.
