ONE MORE DOUBT.SUPPOSE A COMPANY LETS SAY MOIL HAS ANNOUNCED A DIVIDEND TODAY AND BOOKS WILL REMAIN CLOSED FROM 16 TO 23 SEP.SO IF WE BUY SHARE ON 15 AND SELL IT ON 23 WILL WE GET DIVIDEND?PLS TELL THE DURATION(MINIMUM YIME) TO HOLD THAT SHARE FOR DIVIDEND

but in case of tata motors i got dividend on the shares after they announced the dividend.
