cb,Mukesh Ambani group's flagship company Reliance Industries reported a rise of nearly 17% (YoY) in its first quarter of FY12 net profit. During the period, the company's PAT jumped to Rs 5,661 crore against Rs 4,851 crore in same quarter previous fiscal.
Company said Q1 profit was driven by strong refining margins.
Net sales of the company shot up more than 39% to Rs 81,018 crore from Rs 58,228 crore Year-on-Year.
Numbers were in-line with street estimates - CNBC-TV18 expected topline at Rs 78,200 crore and bottomline at Rs 5,625 crore.
