Hi ptm, For covered call or put, dont go for scrips with "great volatility". Covered call will generate income if you have a neutral view on the underlying security and the underlying security doesnot move much. Covered put will generate income when you anticipate a SLOW fall in the price of the underlying security (again neutral to VERY SLIGHTLY BEARISH view).
So, securities with "great volatility" does not come into the picture...

I strongly feel we would continue our upward journey next week too despite few boarders going bearish here. Reason is….this week it happened almost twice that we dipped suddenly on negative news but almost in a friction of second bounced back.
1. On Wednesday ..we were doing fine but then 2 g scam arrests news came in nd we dipped but bounced with in seconds to break d days high nd closed at a new high that was 5824 if I m not wrong
2. On Thursday .. we had a dip again upto 5867 levels I guess but bounced again though cudnt break the days high…still closed at a new weekly high…that was 5884
3. And as most of u must b knowing if Nifty sustains above 5880 there are very strong chances of it trying for 5940 nd we gave a weekly closing of 5884
4. Markets had to remain sluggish keeping in mind the long weekend plus the uncertainity due to RIL results coming after market hrs….ppl don’t like to hold positions in such cases ..yet markets didn’t show ne negativity.
5. RIL results may not b too good but not bad either plus I feel if ne negativity is there it wud b discounted due to this long weekend nd sentiments wud b subsided.
6. Astro as ppl here suggest also giving bullish signals…all d chances of touching even 6000 in this series.
These are my personal views….I may b wrong.
