sir i have tcs put 1150 @ 12.30 and tcs call 1300 @ 12.30 is this a right move as tcs is posting its result tomorrow.

Hi anks, You are trying to do a Long Strangle..
Seems smart.
But managing both becomes a problem, because your one leg earns, & other one loses.
& since both are out of the money, they will SHRINK till 3:30pm
check this with IDBIBANK, HDFCBANK, YESBANK calls & puts.
these have announced results, but still no results found, loss is posted.
The sudden spike after results lasts just for 5-6 seconds, where you cant place the order, time goes off & your losses start.
In stock market, we have to keep one side naked for profits, thats truth.
Otherwise everyone in this world would have bought strangles & become rich..

Holding unitech 35 PE @ 0.95.. shall we add some more now ??..[had asked the same question yesterday.you had replied not to...But today the scenario is very deferent..!!]

hello sir, i have the below portfolio
30 stocks of phoenix mill bought at 201.85
30 stocks of irb infra bought at 211.70
20 stocks of tata steel at 633.
can you please let me know your views on the stocks whether to sell or hold the above said in a month to 15day perspective down the line
