i want to know that if a stock is trading above 200 daily moving average and trading below its 20 dma or 50 dma, then what does it signifies? as we know that if a stock trades above 200 dma it is said to be in bullish trend but what if it is trading below 20 dma or 50 dma. eg if a stock is at cmp of 178. its 200 dma is 172, its 20 dma is 190 and 50 dma is 185. then we should buy the stock on this basis or not? please advise and also advice where to learn which are best technical indicators to learn from scratch suggest only the best ones and any book. please advise
CB, replies: Hi DEEPAK KANODIA, it depends on the type of trades you make, if you a Short/mid term investor, you may follow the 200 DMA, if a Swing trader than 20-50 DMA's breakouts are useful
