@JOPHIN: Gold ETF is Exchange traded fund for gold.. This is a MF kind fund, which invests directly in physical gold form. Holding Gold ETF is equivalent of buying gold in physical form... and keeping at some safe location.
You can sale this fund on daily bases just like u sale any share on BSE/NSE.

You can not convert to to physical Gold. But the ETF operators actually buy physical gold. For you its equivalent of buying physical gold, without tension of storing it safely :)
