Hi Team,
Please explain what is the eligibility to get dividend. How long should I hold the stock to get Dividend?
If the company announced to pay dividend on 15-Mar and If I purchased the shares on 08-Mar, Am I able for dividend? If the company is paying 300% dividend, what it actually means, please explain.
Hope your answer will be very useful for many beginners like me.

Kartik, replies: Hi Pradeep, you just need to hold the stock till the record date, after the company has announced the dividend, it also announces the record date, you can also enter a stock a day before the record date and exit it the next day (after the record date)

Dear Sir, I bought Educomp 205 at 447.40 now it was closed at 415.5,I am planning to purchase more 400 on Monday & trying to do Average.Shall I go for the same or is there still possibility of going down Educomp?? Please reply what to do in order to get relieved from above.since I am intra day Trader & not able to hold for long time.
