Hi Gitanjali,
I understood your aim is to pocket the premium.
But, selling an option contract, to be more specific, writing an option contract is done by experts after considering so many parameters.
We should be very careful in doing this considering the market trend is the most unpredictable thing in the world.
For getting full benefit of decay, you have to sell at the start of the series.
At that time, we will be in full darkness about what will happen at expiry.
This is the risk associated with option writing.
Since december series expires in 4 days, we now have an idea may nifty will close around 6000 at expiry.
But, on november end(start of dec series),is it possible to predict about nifty at dec expiry ?
Even if you don't get much decay benefit, better sell it around last 5-7 days of expiry and pocket the premium.
I have sold TVSMot 75 call last day.
