The market is likely to remain weak in the near-term due to rising crude prices, European problems, tightening of Chinese interest rates and resurgence of growth in the US economy, US companies being relatively cheap compared to other major global markets, flows may move back to US. Also the various scams may delay the Indian Government's reform programme

Folks - If I short in nifty futures, do I have to square off today itself? (I trade with ICICI direct - in cash I have to square off the same day)

Hi dak, nope...in futures you can keep the short until the last thursday of the month..you dont need to square it off intraday....but very important...you should have cash margin in your trading account to keep the short with you..otherwise it is not allowed

Markets are on the uptrend it seems.. Continuous Up movement seen for the past week or so. Am waiting to invest some amount in JSW energy, Adani power, Satyam, Pipapav Shipyd. Shall i wait a bit expecting the market will correct or enter now? Pl advice..
