CB, replies: Hi jkv, oh ok. it will go for auction on the 3rd day. whatever the market price it will be covered at that rate.. if stock moves higher by then, then you could be at some loss. also check with your broker. some charge around 15-20% penalty

Hi Deepak, seems like you went short in cash market..those shares will now go for something called as auction and whatever rate they get bought at in the auction, that much difference you will have to pay your broker

As far as LIC and Unitech are concerned both are looking very weak..and both will come down again...But since you have shorted in cash market and not in futures, even if LIC and Unitech comes down next week, it will make no difference..you will have to pay some penalty

    Hi Deepak,

Those shares will be procured through auction within 5 or 6 days. Until then, your amount will be blocked. If those shares will get trade below your sold price during auction,u will be in gain otherwise u will be in loss. Please note auction charges will also be charged from you.

CB, replies: Hi Ravikumar Sivaramakrishnan, thanks..always welcome

    Seven big Indian corruption scandals
    Published on Sat, Nov 27, 2010 at 15:21 | Updated at Sat, Nov 27, 2010 at 15:35 |

India has been rocked this year by a series of corruption scandals that have embarrassed the ruling Congress party, rattled markets and delayed reform bills as the opposition stalls parliament.

The country, 87th in Transparency International's rankings based on perceived levels of corruption, is no stranger to scandals.

Here are some of the biggest in the last two decades:

    2010—Loan bribery case

    2010—Telecoms licence row

    2010—Commonwealth Games

    2010—Housing scam

    2009—Satyam

    1992—Securities scam

    1986—Bofors gun deal

CB, replies: Hi arun bj, seems markets may open a bit flat. hold it for now. yes, really sad to see how corruption is taking splace
