Indian ADRs: Satyam up 41%, Patni gains 9%
Indian ADRs ended mixed. Satyam shot up 41.41% or $ 0.82, to $ 2.8. In the banking space, ICICI Bank was down 2.81% or $ 0.43, to close at $ 14.85/sh and HDFC Bank fell 2.19% or $ 1.48, to settle at $ 66.03. In the technology sector, Infosys Technologies closed at $ 28.31, down $ 0.75 or 2.58% and Wipro was down 1.3% or $ 0.11, to $ 8.34. However, Patni Computer gained 9.12% or $ 0.51, to close at $ 6.1.
In the telecom pack, Tata Communication was up 1.68% or $ 0.37, to $ 22.38 and MTNL went up 1.77% or $ 0.05, to settle at $ 2.87. In other sectors like metal, pharma and auto, Sterlite Industries was up 3.45% or $ 0.25, to $ 7.49 while Dr Reddys Labs lost 2.44% or $ 0.25, to $ 9.98 and Tata Motors fell 0.99% or $ 0.06, to $ 6, respectively.
