BHEL gets orders worth Rs 10,000 cr

Its chairman Ravi Kumar told Reuters the state-run power equipment maker has got orders worth up to 60 billion rupees for five units of state-run power generator NTPC.
Ravikumar said Neyveli Lignite has also placed an order worth Rs 3200 crore.
Kumar said BHEL also expects Rs 60 crore revenue in 2009/10 from a joint venture signed on Tuesday to make products for railways and industries.
“Next year we’re planning a turnover of Rs 60 crore (from the JV),” he told reporters after forming the joint venture with state-run Kerala Electrical and Allied Engineering Co Ltd .
