SBI felicitate HSC rank-holders across 10,000 rural schools
State Bank of India, the country’s largest bank, will felicitate 1,00,000 top-ranking students across 10,000 rural higher secondary schools under its ‘SBI Talent Awards’ scheme. The bank has apportioned Rs. 10 crores for the scheme.
The Scheme was launched in Mumbai on April 10, 2008 by Shri O P Bhatt, Chairman, State Bank of India.
Each student will receive a Certificate of Excellence. Students will be given a cash award of Rs.1001. The Bank will also sanction, in-principle, an education loan to the rank holders for pursuing higher education.
The awards will be conferred on the top three rank holders of the schools, under each stream viz., Science, Arts and Commerce. Separate awards will be granted to the rank holders of State Board, ICSE and CBSE Examinations.
