Ms. Karnad has also been felicitated amongst the ‘Most Powerful Women in Indian Business’ by Business Today magazine. This is the fourth year she has been featured in this list.

Ms. Renu Sud Karnad brings with her rich experience and enormous knowledge in the mortgage sector, having been part of the nascent real estate & mortgage sectors in India. Having spent over three decades in various positions at HDFC Ltd., India’s premiere housing finance company, Ms. Renu Sud Karnad has grown to be its first woman Joint Managing Director. Apart from being the Brand Custodian, Ms. Karnad is in-charge of the overall operations of the company and is responsible for Human Resources and spearheading HDFC’s expansion in India and internationally.

Ms. Karnad is on the board of several Indian and multinational companies including Egyptian Housing Finance Company, ICI Limited, Motor Industries Company Limited (MICO), Ascendas Pte Ltd., Feedback Ventures, S.A.E, Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetables promoted by National Dairy Development Board, Indraprastha Medical Corporation Ltd. and Sparsh BPO Services Limited. She is also the Chairperson of HDFC Venture capital and HDFC Property ventures.

She is also on the board of HDFC Bank and other HDFC group companies.
