The National Human Resource Development (NHRD) Network announces the appointment of Prameela Kalive as President of its Pune Chapter. Prameela Kalive is the Global HR Head of Zensar Technologies, a leading global software services and BPO provider headquartered in Pune.

With experience of more than 20 years and a large part of that in the IT and BPO industry, Prameela is passionate about talent development, and aims at developing synergies amongst the various industries as also within the IT and BPO industry. She will facilitate convergence of focus of various companies on pertinent issues like retention, women empowerment, security and work-life balance. The NHRD Network has about 30 Chapters all over India with Pune ranked eighth among these 30 Chapters.

The leadership team of the Chapter includes the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and Prameela takes over her current role from Dr. Uma Ganesh who has been the President for the past three years.

As the President of NHRD’s Pune Chapter, Prameela would be responsible for planning and executing the Chapter’s activities and will play a key role in drawing up its charter for the year. Under her leadership the Chapter will work towards collaborating with the government, the industry and the academia and will work in partnership with other NHRD Chapters ensuring sharing of best practices throughout the Network.

Prameela Kalive joined Zensar 7 years back after her long career as missile scientist and technologist. At Zensar she has played multiple leadership roles leading core portfolios in operations, sales, global strategy and now Global HR. She was awarded with the Best Employee and Top Gear awards which are Zensar’s highest awards of recognition for excellence and performance. For the past two years, Prameela has been heading Zensar’s global HR function and has been the driving force behind a number of turn around initiatives. She has now expanded her portfolio to include Zensar Center for Business Innovation (ZCBI) which is focused on building capacity, capability and competency for today’s industry.

Zensar over the years has received industry recognition for its best -in -class HR practices, with a number of awards namely Employer Branding Award for Innovation in Career Development for (2008), Employer Branding Award for Continuous Innovation in HR strategy at Work (2007)and NHRD’s Trailblazer of the Year Award for Best HR Practices (2006).Zensar has also received accreditation for its innovation recruitment practices and talent- on-demand model for industry ready resource creation.
