The residential and social amenities zone at Mahindra World City, New Chennai was designed by M/s HOK, USA with the belief in creating work and life spaces that are world-class and seamlessly integrate with the natural surroundings they are set in. It has led to the planners and architects bagging two international awards for the ‘Mahindra World City’ master plan from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

The two awards are: –

* Award of Excellence in the category of Planning, Research and Communications by the St. Louis Chapter of ASLA in 2007
* Award of Excellence in the category of Planning by the Central States Conference of ASLA in 2008

The award of Excellence is the highest level of recognition bestowed by the Society on a firm for work in the planning and design field in the United States.
